Terms of Service
Please read through all of the terms before commissioning!
By commissioning, you are automatically agreeing to these terms.
General Information:
-
Commission requests can be made through my direct messages on Twitter or by sending an email to petalpaladin@gmail.com.
-
When requesting a commission, please be as clear and descriptive as you possibly can about what you’d like me to draw. If I’m given unclear directions, it makes it considerably harder for me to effectively deliver on your request.
-
Please provide references for the characters you’d like me to draw, even if they’re official characters. If your character lacks proper references, I’m fine with being sent separate example images of what their appearance would look like. Providing a pose reference is also strongly encouraged.
-
Please note that my commissions are a digital-only product and are not for commercial use, (unless discussed otherwise.)
-
I will not accept commission requests when my slots and waitlist are closed, but I am open to discussing freelance work at any time.
-
I reserve the right to refuse any commission request I may receive. If I am uncomfortable stating the reason why I refused your request, please do not try to pressure me into explaining.
Payment + Refunds:
-
Base prices are fixed and non-negotiable. I will not lower them so please do not pressure me into doing so or I will refuse your request and block you.
-
If you wish to order a commission for commercial use, an additional 50% of the total price will be added.
-
Commission prices do not apply to freelance work requests and will be discussed on an individual basis.
-
Payment is done via Paypal Invoice and charged in full upfront. I will send an invoice only when I’m about to start on your commission.
-
Full refunds will only be given if I have not started working on your commission request, which I will tell you when I start on. This will be your only chance to cancel your request for a full refund.
-
Half refunds will be given if you cancel your commission during the sketch phase. After a sketch has been approved and I start working on lineart, I will no longer provide a refund.
-
If I am unable to finish your commission for whatever reason, I will provide you with either a full or half refund depending on what stage of the process I am at.
Process + Changes:
-
After we’ve discussed your request and I have accepted it, I will start your commission after I have received payment.
-
I will send you an initial sketch for approval before I continue on to lineart and coloring. If there are tweaks or changes you wish to have done to the sketch, please tell me before approving.
-
Changes to the initial sketch and minor color adjustments after the commission is completed are free of charge, but major adjustments to the drawing will require additional fees.
-
Once your commission is completed, I will send you a full resolution PNG version of it.
-
My turnaround time can vary between a few days to a few weeks, depending on your placement in my queue and other personal IRL factors. Please be patient and do not rush me.
-
If you need a commission piece by a specific date, please tell me when requesting your commission. If I don’t think I’ll be able to complete it in time, I’ll unfortunately have to reject your request.
-
Updates on my commission progress can be found on Trello.
-
I will try my best to inform you if anything comes up that requires me to delay your commission.
-
Please know that if I’m posting personal art that I’m not ignoring your commission. I just need a chance to unwind and draw some stuff for myself in between them so please be understanding of that.
Usage Policy:
-
As stated before, my commissions are for non-commercial purposes only unless you’ve requested otherwise.
-
Commissioners may:
-
Use your commission as an avatar, header/banner, decoration on Carrd, Toyhouse, or DeviantArt (as long as proper credit is given.)
-
Repost to sites like Toyhouse with proper credit.

-
-
You are not allowed to:
-
Change or modify without my permission (excluding cropping for avatars.)
-
